Webinar - Economic Impacts of the U.S.-Iran MOU: Global, Regional, National
9 July 2026 - 14:00 BST
This 75-minute webinar will examine the potential global, regional, and national economic impacts of the U.S.-Iran MOU. The panelists will interpret the economic provisions of the agreement and discuss the interim sanctions relief to be received by Iran, including the newly issued general license, GL-X. They will also discuss the feasibility of full sanctions termination for Iran, which would include the lifting of U.S. primary sanctions, and the conditions that international and American businesses might require to pursue economic opportunities in Iran given the historic risks and likely linger effects of sanctions.
The webinar panel includes:
Stephen Fallon is the founder of DBM Consulting and an Associate Fellow at the Bourse & Bazaar Foundation. He was the former Chief Compliance Officer at INSTEX.
Josh Kram is the Managing Director of Westbrook Global Advisory. He was previously Senior Advisor for Strategy and Policy at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and Vice President, International Strategy & Global Partnerships at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Delaney Simon is Senior Analyst for the US Program at the International Crisis Group where her research focuses in part of U.S. approaches to sanctions termination.
The discussion will be led by Esfandyar Batmanghelidj, CEO of the Bourse & Bazaar Foundation. Time will be allocated for audience questions.
